It's between 10th and 11th Avenues on 42nd StMiddle of Block, there's a big blue awning that says "The Armory"
SUBWAY: Take any train to Times Square, and walk West on 42nd St
LIRR: Take any train to Penn Station. Grab a quick cab (approx $6) to 42nd St between 10th & 11th
OR: You can WALK FROM PENN, but it's almost a mile, so only if you've got some sneakers on (approx 30 minute walk)
Walk North to 42nd St, then Turn Left and head West to 10th Avenue.
PARKING:
There are several parking lots in the area-and sometimes there's street parking in front of the building. Always check street signs!
43rd Street between 10th & 11th Avenues has TWO parking lots, and is right around the corner.
TIME CAPSULE:
The theme of the party is a time capsule!
Please have fun with it, and don't stress! Some of you have told me what you are contributing to the time capsule, and the ideas are amazing! You can make her something, you can put something in as a reminder of the time period (1st year of her life), you can put something in for her to remember you by, a gift for her to open when she is 16 years old...WHATEVER YOU LIKE!
It can be sentimental, funny, factual or a combination of everything.
There are no rules, and we're thrilled if you participate in the time capsule portion of the party.
FOOD & DRINKS:
We'll have snacks, food and lots of drinks at the party so come hungry!
The party will be mostly adults, but we'll set up a separate room upstairs for the kids to hang out in, play and watch some DVD's. If you have any special toys, movies or things to occupy the munchkins, please feel free to bring it along.
